Orlando Bloom Opens Up About Jeff Bezos’ Lavish Wedding
London, UK – Orlando Bloom provided insights into his experience attending the recent wedding of Amazon chairman Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, revealing the scale and exclusivity of the three-day event held in Venice, Italy. Speaking to *The Times* on Friday, September 5th, Bloom, 48, described the celebrations as “wild” and noted his prior professional relationship with Bezos, stemming from the latter’s involvement in producing Bloom’s streaming projects, *Carnival Row* and *Deep Cover*.
The wedding festivities were attended by a host of high-profile guests including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kris Jenner and the Kardashians, Tom Brady, Sydney Sweeney, Eva Longoria, and numerous other celebrities. Bloom highlighted Bezos’ gracious and engaging personality, stating he “takes people on face value.”
Following the wedding, the couple hosted a pajama-themed post-wedding bash on a small Venetian island, featuring performances by DJ Cassidy with a full orchestra and a headlining concert from Usher. Guests, including Bloom, relaxed on velvet furniture and enjoyed a lavish Italian buffet. According to an insider, Bloom remained on the dance floor for extended periods.
Bloom’s former fiancée, Katy Perry, was not present at the wedding weekend. Sánchez reached out to Perry via Instagram prior to the event expressing her regret at her absence.
This event transpired two days after *Us Weekly* reported the conclusion of Bloom and Perry’s nearly ten-year engagement. The former couple released a joint statement in July, outlining their focus on coparenting and affirming their commitment to their daughter, Daisy.
Bloom addressed his recent weight loss for the film *The Cut* on NBC’s *Today* show, assuring anchor Craig Melvin that he and Perry were in a good place. He emphasized gratitude for his daughter and dismissed speculation regarding the use of Ozempic for his transformation.
